the american indian wars
American Indians and settlers of the Americas have always had problems over land. The American people initially kicked them out of the east coast and forced them to move west but they said that they would have protected land out west. The America government even signed treaties with the Indians saying that they would not infringe on their newly acquired protected land out west. This worked out for a long time until around the time of the end of the civil war. After the civil war the United States wanted to fulfill the prophecy of manifest destiny. This meant that the people living in the east coast started moving west and trying to take the land from the Indians again. This caused a lot of problems between the Indians and the American people and this led to many battles. These came to be known as the American Indian wars and they lasted from 1540–1924. All these battles between the American Indians and the American people led to many deaths on both sides.
